Video testimonial: explaining the difference between standardisation, certification and accreditation of marine energy technologies - featuring DMEC and Ghent University

May 29 , 2019

One of the objectives of the MET-CERTIFIED project is to actively involve and communicate with the 5 most important target groups around certification, being investors/insurers, technology developers, test centres, certification bodies and regulators. Testimonial videos are being produced to explain the relevance of certification of marine energy technologies for the various target groups.

In this video testimonial, you'll get a short introduction to why the MET-CERTIFIED project is important for the marine energy industry.  You will also learn more about the difference between 'standardisation', 'certification' and 'accreditation'.
This is being explained by Peter Scheijgrond of DMEC (project coordinator MET-CERTIFIED) and by Pieter Mathys of Ghent University (business developer MET-CERTIFIED).
